Christmas in Africa is not like Christmas in America. Poverty is a 365 day-a-year reality for the children of eManzana and Christmas is just another day. Food insecurity is rampant and hope is very often hard to find for these kids.

Thank you for your interest in Lydia’s Mission and our special project to help sponsor 1,000 children this Christmas season. Your gift will help provide a special holiday meal for one child, a few bags of rice for their family, along with a few practical gifts they can use over and over again! The lunchbox can be used to eat out of, store food, or to take their lunch to school. The water bottle is important because many of the children will drink out of their hands as they don’t have a cup or bottle to use. These bottles will help them to be able to transport clean drinking water. The backpack encourages education and supports the children as they embark on their scholastic journey. The bags of rice will serve as a blessing to the children’s families.
